We've had some issues with fake accounts being set up and are now looking to utilize the captcha features available in the TNEW site controls system table. What we noticed is there's one for the registration page and one for the checkout page.
Having both turned on means a patron who registers for the first time then has to complete that captcha twice. But turning the checkout one off, means that no captcha is asked for if using "Checkout as Guest" option.
So our question is what are the ways you all have handle this? Do you think Patrons will get annoyed having to complete 2 captcha's in a purchase? Do fake accounts happen as a result of guest checkouts?

Hi Maureen,We implemented CAPTCHA about a year ago, because we were getting a whole bunch of spam accounts created using our short registration on TNEW. We don't have it on checkout, and we haven't seen any issues with the Guest Checkout option. We also wondered if people were going to get annoyed, but I think that these days it's pretty common to have to complete a captcha when shopping online. Whether it's letters and numbers, or checking off the "I'm not a robot" box.
