We're in the midst of our Early Renewal period, during which we begin taking subscription orders for the entire season, but without any dates, titles, or seats connected to them. We've always done this by building dummy packages as placeholders and then swapping them out for the real packages once the dates and seats are set. The dummy performances for this package have seating maps which only contain two seats, one for each of our price tiers, that we use to make these packages salable on the website; otherwise, the packages are unseated.
This year, we wanted to experiment with trying to use Quicksale to simplify our order taking process, so we tried setting up a sales layout for our dummy packages, but the problem that we're running into is that Quicksale assigns each performance a "seat" by selecting one of the control seats. Does anyone have experience doing something similar that can tell me if there's a way to sell a package made of unseated performances in Quicksale?
Hi Eric, QuickSale will always best seat the tickets, so unless you can make your facility seat map bigger, I don't think Quicksale will work the way you want it to sorry.
I too sometimes wish that there was a way to have Quicksale available for unseated tickets; but it was designed to speed up transactions (especially for GA performances), hence the automatic best seating!

Ok, that was kind of what I was afraid of - thanks Alison!
