Hello,
Normally for our fixed seat packages, we use 1 zone map and associate it with the different shows in the package. We were considering using a separate zone map for each show in a package in case we want to add a VIP zone to one show. Would this create an issue with respect to creating/selling a package or doing rollovers?
We use three zones for our Main Stage, and sometimes one or two zones for our Black Box in our fixed seat packages, and we've never had an issue with rollovers, or the creation or selling of packages.
Hey Amber,
Just so I understand, you use 3 zone maps or 3 zones in 1 zone map?
If you are going to sell them as Fixed Seat packages you will want to use the same Zone Map across all the performances. That being said, we sometimes have a zone that may be VIP pricing for one show, but not the others. You could also have some Zones that exist, but are not painted and then just paint a VIP zone on to specific performances using Season Maintenance after the packages are built. I recommend messing around with it in Test before jumping into it live, but it is possible.
We use three price zones in our one Main Stage facility and two price zones in our one Black Box facility. But, I agree with Nicole and play around with it in Test first.
Hey Nicole!
Thanks for the info. Regarding the VIP zones for specific performances you mentioned, that's what we've had to do. We'll continue doing it this way.
Hi Amber - If you are selling them together it sounds like a Superpackage to me, which is also a fine choice, but then you are seating each facility separately. We have used a Superpackage in one hall previously, but it did cause some web issues initially that we were not anticipating.
