Pricing Rules for Member Benefits, TNEW

Not sure if this is a Ticketing, Membership, or TNEW question, as it involves all 3...

Our members are entitled to a free ticket for themselves (or however many people are covered by their membership), and a 50% discount on regular prices for any guests not covered by their membership. I have pricing rules set up to fire when a member logs in to the website that will give them whatever amount of free tickets they qualify for, but I can't figure out how to discount any additional tickets they add to cart.

Does anyone else have a similar set up? How do you handle honoring multiple membership benefits in one transaction, if not by using Pricing Rules?

Any help or insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Something that YBCA is currently working through is creating a custom solution to allow membership benefits to be available in cart on the web as a soon as a membership is purchased. Because of the MOS shift, if you purchase a membership on the web you must log out and log back in in order to receive your benefits on TNEW.

I have found that it is very important to create a spreadsheet with test accounts/log ins for all levels of membership and to test out those levels in TNEW every time you set up something new or shift membership in some way. As with most things in Tess, if you shift one small thing it will often effect things you do not expect.

Also, some additional things this can be used for is giving access to pre-sales for certain membership levels and to exclude members from all fees including for rental client events where they may not receive a discount.
