Using Constituency codes to access allocated seats

We are looking into being able to give our VIPS access to allocated seats on the web via web ranking (I think I got that process down).

My confusion lies in how to get those same Allocated seats (let's say "V" allocations") to become available to the front end user without a MOS shift?  I thought that if the patron ID # on the order  had certain constituencies on their record, I could set it up that their constituency unlocked allocations.  But I don't want to attach the Allocation to our standard Box Office MOS because then it seems that inventory is available to any order regardless of the patron (athough it has a red dot on it).

Do constituencies unlock allocations, or am I missing something?

  • Hi Jessica,
Allocations are tied to the MOS, so in order for your Box Office users to get access to those allocations, they'd have to first go into which MOS those allocations are tied to.
Or, you could attach the allocation to your Box Office MOS, but inform the reps that only patrons with the specific consistency in their header may be booked from those allocations.

    I hope this helps!
