Is anyone out there using printed constituent ID barcodes (i.e. on a membership card) to scan a constituent ID directly into an order screen to load that customer into the order? If so, any scanner recommendations? Am I correct in thinking you could use any old USB scanner, or does Nscan need to be involved?

I've experimented with this before, and it's definitely possible. The Owner field in Ticket Orders accepts the same scanner sentinel characters used elsewhere in the system, so you'd just need a device that you can configure to use those sentinels (or configure Tessitura to use the scanner's sentinels), and that does "keyboard emulation". N-Scan wouldn't apply here. The Motorola LS2208 is an old standby, but something that works better as a presentation scanner might make more sense in POS situation.
