A question for the discount boffins:
Should pricing rules work within a promo?
Situation:
Promo is added revealing discounted partner tickets
If 2 x adult (promo) and 2 x child (promo) tickets are selected an additional discount should result via price type switch to 4 x family (promo)
Hi Ronan,
I believe this SHOULD work - I'm assuming from the question that it isn't.
Could it be that the promo code changes the Mode of Sale and that the pricing rule isn't associated with the pricing rule set associated with this new MOS?
Martin
strangely no. But it could be custom work interfering. Just wanted to check it was actually possible. Didn't see why it shouldn't be either.
The thing that always trips me up is remembering to add it to the MOS so that it can be used on the Web but not added to a security groups as don't want it shown to customers as an option.
Is the Family (promo) price type associated with the MOS being used?
Mark
The easiest way to tell if you have web configurations interfering would be to try the exact same promo code in the client and selecting the web MOS you are using online and see if the rule is firing when it should. Then you can see if it is an issue with the rule setup or the web. You may need to add some MOS and Price Types to your User Griup in order to have access to those you are trying to use online.
