I am hoping for insight or even suggestions to help with our problems. We have frustrated customers trying to buy packages that are not, actually, available to them to buy, but there is no indication.
When an item in a package does not have enough tickets left to satisfy the customer's order (too few tickets left or sold out completely), the transaction fails without helpful explanation.
- Is there a way to get tnew to show in packages how many tickets remain for an item that's in it? (When it's only a small number, same as for single tickets).
- Is there a way to get tnew to identify that an entire package is not available when one of the items in it is sold out for the day?
- I would consider revising the error message that is triggered by the transaction failure, as long as I can be sure that the message is limited to the one circumstance/error. Does anyone know?
Also, when the last start time for a different item in a package has passed, the package remains on sale. (The expired items disappear from the package).
- Is there a way to get tnew to identify that an entire package is not available when one of the items in it has expired for the day?
Packages do get appropriately labelled as unavailable when the time for the end of our business day has been reached.
