Custom data fields and Aux TNEW pages – HELP!

I have created custom form data fields for capturing camper information and applied the corresponding TN_Express_Aux keyword at the performance level and entered the corresponding rows in  LTR_TNEW_CUSTOM_FORM_SAVE_DATA, - but the fields are not appearing on the purchase page.

The other curious thing is that the purchase page doesn’t appear to be an auxiliary page, even though the AUX keyword is definitely applied.

 Any ideas what I’m missing??

Thanks!

  • Hi Judy,

In order to view it as an auxiliary page, make sure you are using the auxiliary URL (.../auxiliary/Reserve.aspx?p=###) rather than the single tickets URL (.../single/EventDetail.aspx?p=###).  Custom fields will only show up on auxiliary pages.

You also need to reset your site's cache in order to see changes made in system tables take effect online. This probably happens automatically on a schedule, so it may have been done by now, and if not you may need to have a system admin do it.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you, Anne. I'm still trying to figure all this out and this is probably a naive question, but how do you switch it from the single tickets URL to the aux URL?

  • You can view any performance as either a single tickets or an auxiliary page, it just depends on the URL you type in. When you're on the web page as it looks now, in your browser just change the end of the URL starting where it says "/single/..." to say "/auxiliary/Reserve.aspx?p=####" where #### is the performance ID number from Tessitura.

Thanks again, Anne - that's very helpful to know! I do have the aux keyword on the performance level, but we have a new web developer and now are only using TNEW for the purchase path, so I'm thinking the problem may be in the link between the two systems not recognizing or linking to the auxiliary page. Does that make sense? And thanks again for all your help!

  • Hi Judy,

Do you mean you're only using TNEW once you get to the cart?  If the event page itself is not a TNEW page, I'm not sure whether the fields you need can be pulled onto it.

We go to TNEW on the reserve/select seats page. Your advice about the URL is what made me realize we just need to have the link changed in the Register button that switches to TNEW and now it is working! Thanks again for your help!
