Our subscription fees are rule based. All subscription orders are sold in Subscription MOS or Group Subscription MOS. Subscription fees should be waived for our VIP patrons. When performing the rollovers, I do not want the VIP orders to have any fees applied to their renewal order. Is the only way to avoid fees for the VIPs is to create a new MOS called VIP Subscription along with a new fee with the calculation method set as rule based, the fee frequency set to the constituent level and a $0 fee amount and then in the fee rules, only select the VIP Subscription MOS along with the price types, delivery methods, transaction types, etc as the Subscription MOS and Group Subscription MOS? Then roll the VIP patrons into this new MOS? For the last couple of seasons, we've just been editing the fees to $0 upon each renewal. Unfortunately, sometime people forget to do this step.
Hi Sharon - We do two separate rolls into the same MOS. We build the fee and make it inactive, then roll the VIP patrons who wouldn't get the fees based on a specific list. We then re-activate the fee and do the main rollover for the rest of our patrons.
Excellent Lauren. I hadn't considered doing that.
