We are looking to add in more in-depth patron information such as, birthday, gender, household income, etc. for audience development. Has anyone done this after the fact? ( We have been on Tessitura for over 5 years and are wanting to create a more extensive picture of our patrons). Do we need a consultant or are there things we can do now to get this going? We are on TNEW
We track birthdays, HH income, home value, est. income, HH composition, etc. Birthdays are self-reported through emails and in house promotions and the other information we get from Peachtree Data. We do a data append every two years on what we consider our most active patrons; ticket buying or donations within the last five years. We track all that information through attributes. It's easy to add all that information to Tessitura, just a little time consuming to get it all set up, but something you could do in house.
We don't, marketing decided they didn't want to slow down the patron's purchase path. Our box office staff does ask for birthdays and they can just go into attributes and enter the information while on the phone with the patron.
