Our rental clients are instructed to use our ticketing path (graphic treatment including our facility logo, web address, and box office phone no.s) in their print ads.
We're finding many do not use the full graphic treatment, but pick & choose elements from it at their discretion.
Have you run into the same issue?
Do you give your box office rental clients a specific graphic file to incorporate into their ads?
If not, how do you specify that they communicate your venue/your box office as the key ticketing source?
Do you have any recourse (fees? fines?) if they don't use what you've given them?
We don’t require that they use our logo or any graphic, but we do require that they list our facility, the venue name, our phone number for ticket sales, and our website on ALL materials. We have not any problems with this since starting on Tessitura.
I think it’s important to note here, that we mandate doing all of the ticketing for rental clients from our box offices. If requested (and it’s moderately rare), we will allow a maximum of 10% of the capacity to be given to a 3rd party seller, but that seller has to collect money and then pay us directly before receiving any tickets. So, in order to sell the vast majority of their tickets, they must refer customers to our purchase methods. We find that by keeping the majority of tickets on our system, rental clients are more likely to list our information correctly on their ads.
