Hello, all,
I've been searching for a solution to this for most of the day today, and can't seem to find anything. Hopefully this post won't seem too rambling...
Our weekly sales report was run twice this morning. Between the two, there was a disparity in the projected revenue field for tonight's performance of $264. This disparity reflects the donation of 4 tickets at $66 apiece.
We recently started using the Donate for Resale functionality (this is the first show of our season, and the first show we've used this function for), and I know that this tracks the revenue of resold tickets, not the donated ones. I'm just trying to figure out why the projected revenue decreased, as those tickets would reflect the potential of another $264, so, at least in my mind, projected revenue should have increased.
Additionally, is there a report that can help me?
Thanks,
Josh
Hi, all,
Just wanted to bump this again. Any thoughts?
Hi Josh,
Tricky to think about, isn't it?
Have you looked at the Donated Seats report under Ticketing Box Office in the report utility? For us, when searching by performance within a season, it delineates between donated and resale, per show date. As to why the projected revenue decreased as opposed to increased could be how the donation funds are handled/moved within your system? The funds are moving off ticketing, and onto a patrons' individual account as a donation. So if your goal is to look at strictly ticket sales/projected revenue, then yes, you would see a decease in ticket sales. (But you would see an increase in funds for individual donations for that show...) Does this make sense?
Hope some aspects of this helps! Cheers!
