Purposes

Hi,

We're working on some business rules around Purposes (primarily mailing address).  We want to standardize the use of them so that they are used properly and maintained.

Thought:

  • Purpose is only used when there are multiple addresses and need an item sent somewhere else beyond the primary address consistently.  

Concern:

  • The address may get updated (either by patron online or by staff) and the purpose doesn't move with it. As a rule, we don't delete addresses only inactivate them.

All ideas on how to properly maintain this are helpful.
