Updating Constituent Records

Hello,

We received our National Change of Address updates back from a new mail house, that informed us we have hundreds of constituents in our Tess database whose addresses need to be updated. Is there any way to do a bulk upload of this new constituent data without having to manually update each constituent record individually?

Thank you.

    Hi Allison,

Tessitura has a utility and a prefrered service provider for NCOA updates, as described in the following link:

    http://www.tessituranetwork.com/help_system_v125/content/NCOA_Processing/NCOA%20Processing%20Utility.htm

Update process has rigid steps, which create a file to send to the service provider and then receive the processed file from the provider to input into Tessitura.  I did not come across any document that explains the input and output fields, so the utility seems to to working as a black box, requiring the use of the service provider.  Even if you can locate that document, it would be very difficult to make use of it with the utility.

One option you have is to set your list aside, and work with Tessitura's preferred service provider to reprocess your data using the Tessitura NCAO utility.  You can look at the provider's info and costs from the link above.  Unless you have data import expertise in house, this is probably your best option.

Hope you find this info helpful.  Please let me know if you have any further questions.
