NSAN

We're implementing NSAN for our upcoming 17/18 season.  We're all very excited to finally begin scanning tickets! I do however have a healthy fear of the unknown when it comes to scanning.  I would love to know if any of you have any advice you would give us? Anything you wish you would have known when you started out?  Tips and tricks...any documentation that you created for your staff that was especially helpful? We'll be using Motorola MC40's.

Thank you all in advance,

Lisa

    Hi there Lisa!

Congrats on moving to NSCAN!  One thing we suggest overtraining your ushers on the useage of scanning - we use a volunteer core of ushers of whom some are not quite tech savvy.  So there was more fear on our part of getting our volunteer usher core up to speed and comfortable using the Scanners.

That said, I believe you use/employ a venue paid usher staff for your events, who are already familiar with scanning tickets via another ticketing database.  So maybe its more of a fine tuned training of expressing the difference between NSCAN and the "other" ticket scanning systems, and how you want the staff to respond specifically to your system.  Does that make sense?

We do also have NSCAN training materials we put together for our ushers if you are interested.

Let us know how we can help!

    Cheers,
