Updating Zones in Base Seat Maps?

Can it be done? We have created 30 packages of one performance each, but have not yet seated any patrons. In the interim we decided to complicate our lives by rezoning from 2 zones (C and G) to 3 zone (1, 2 and 3). We added pricing for all 3 new zones and then disabled the 2 older zones. We then easily rezoned the performances, but these are now out of sync with the base seat maps. An error message is given if we don't continue to have all five zones enabled, but anticipating this will lead to potential operator confusion. It is extremely unlikely that we will ever rollover or renew these packages, so the temptation is to just purchase the necessary performances and dispense with the packages entirely. Meanwhile I thought I'd ask if anyone has solved this problem before.
