Hi all
We would like to start managing guest lists for opening nights and group launches via Tessitura. Apparently there are a few different ways of doing this, one of which is Elevated Events. We'd like to try and work out the method that will best suit us and our sublicensee, does anyone out there have a tried-and-true way they recommend?
Thanks in advance
Leah
Hi Leah
Our Peter Nelson will be presenting on his new process for handling opening night guest lists at the ANZ regional conference next month, if that’s of interest.

Just in case you’re not coming to the local conference, at the heart of our process is the “Activity” module, not Elevated Events.
Activities seem to be the best way to manage basic tracking of invites and RSVPs to opening nights etc. We also use Activities for program launches.
What they don’t do is manage actually allocating/seating the performance, which is what our custom work has tried to address.
Elevated Events are more for functions, fund raising dinners, parties etc, especially where payment is included. There is a good Tess Help documentation explaining the distinction.

Also one thing to always ask yourself when trying to decide between Elevated Events and Activities is do you want to track expenses, if the answer is yes then go with Elevated Events as this is not possible in Activities.
