Inactivating Entries in TR_BATCH_PERIOD

Hello All, 

Is it recommended that entries never be inactivated in TR_BATCH_PERIOD? I understand there is an impact on Season Overview, as well as some Finance reports if changes are made - can we still report on previous fiscal years if they are inactivated in this table?

  • I've been inactivating every year during my fiscal year cleanup. We haven't noticed any issues and I've just had a look at Season Overview and one of the reports that the documentation specifies is affected by this table - they both still have data to return.

    I'm thinking those items simply need the values to exist in that table whether they are active or not. I would recommend trying it out in your test system and see what happens. Worst case scenario, just reactivate them again!
