No Door Open and Close Times

We are looking to start building drink vouchers into tessitura that can be presented for complimentary drinks at our dining locations. Our LLC has agreed to scan the tickets in at the end of the night so we know who is actually using these vouchers, and it helps us track the receipts more, but our challenege is how do we set the performance up that the doors don't open and close.

I tried somethings on my own today and only got success by putting the performance code into the NScan table, but we really want this to work based off of the facility on it's own.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Rich,

Unless you have the drink vouchers set up so that they are only available to be used on the date you are scanning, they won't work when using facility_no. You will have to program the scanners to use the perf_no if you are using an arbitrary date for your vouchers.

Our season runs Apr-Nov and our drink tickets live on a date in the calendar outside of those months. I set the door open/close dates to April 1 - Nov 30 so that the tickets can be scanned. We don't print a date on the ticket, we just say that they are valid for the 2017 season.

In our case, because the arbitrary date doesn't match the scan date, then the ticket won't scan properly if using the facility_no as there is no performance on the date we are scanning. If we manually put the performance date into the scanner, it will work.

    Hope this makes sense.

  • Michele, how do you track who receives drink vouchers? Are they booked into the constituent's account with a specific performance? If so, how do you handle batch ticket printing for a specific day when the drink voucher performance is on a future date?

    Thanks!

  • Emily,

Yes, they are all tracked on the constituent file, but can be purchased without performance tickets. As for batch ticket printing, we have our batches set up to print orders for all performances with an order date from the beginning of our on-sale to yesterday. We don't batch print for a specific day.
