Constituent name on GA tickets

Hello all,

We are toying with the idea of creating a special ticket design for member GA tickets, with a constituent name element to help control free member ticket abuse.

We currently include names on tickets for special lecture classes that we offer but we have never tried this for GA tickets.

Are there organizations out there that have tried this? If so, I'd love to hear about your experience with this and what the member/constituent reaction was, if any.

Thank you all!

  • We add names to tickets for cetain concerts; mainly for high profile events where id checks are in place, so we put the lead bookers name on the ticket, so we can check that against photo id that they bring.

We also do it for the BBC Proms classical concerts, where there are no checks in place, but not specifically just for GA events.

As far as I am aware we haven't had any negative reactions to it.

  • Something we have done with success that is kind of related is use the custom fields for the ticket order to create fields where we can type in a name.  We use these for those cases where the person picking up the ticket at will call is different from the name of the person on the account.  These name fields from the custom tab are then easy to add to a header or ticket design.
