Offers in Season Maintenance

We have a number of offers that are created with the same name but have different source numbers (for example when there is more than one keycode required for all the inclusion criteria in an extraction, we don't want the sources named differently).  However, this creates a problem when you go to add an offer to the performances using Season Maintenance/Season Manager.  The Offers updater is not recognizing that there are 2 different source numbers and is saying that there are no new offers to add.

Has anyone else come across this situation and how did they handle adding the offer?  I don't want to manually have to add this offer to 616 performances!!

Thanks,
Michele

  • We came across this when setting up an offer on a single performance that was available to two different groups but had the same source name.

It seemed that although the drop-down list showed both sources however, regardless of which one was selected in the list the same source number was shown. It looked like it was taking the source name to look up the source number and giving the same source number for that source name.

The way we got around this was to rename the sources, with 2 different name the system was then able to recognise both sources number. In our case we added the promo code name to the end of the source name
eg. Rather than have 'Matinee Offer' we had 'Matinee Offer (witch)' and 'Matinee Offer (candy)'.
This had to be done via the database directly as the sources were already promoted and therefore the name was not editable via Tessitura.

    Hope that helps

  • Thanks Mark.  That's what I had to end up doing.  I'm going to submit a ticket for it.

  • Just thought I'd update this.  I submitted a helpdesk ticket and this is what I heard back:

This is fixed in v9.0, beta2 build. Thanks for pointing it out.
