Does anyone know if Tess has some sort of notice board feature for users?
A community page/board where different users can see updates, news, rotas etc. when they log in.When working with a team of permanent and casual staff, it becomes difficult to keep all informed and up to date of daily changes and news. Emails are not sufficient enough and end up being more of a hassle so I wondered if Tess has a feature that could cover this as all those staff members already use Tess on their shifts.
Thanks!
Hi Anna,
An idea that came up in the ‘Tessitura On Boarding Best Practices’ session at 2015 TLCC was to put important notes in the custom tab; the information that staff need to read shift to shift. I’m not sure if this will fully cover what you’re after, but might be a bit helpful?
Cheers,
Hannah

We created a custom help Word document which managers add to daily with updates of anything we want staff to know. Here is the link to information about adding custom documents to the Help feature in Tessitura: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/help_system_v125/Tessitura_v125_CSH.htm#System_Tables/TR_HELP_DOCUMENT_CUSTOM.htm
It is a running document and we date each entry so staff know when it was added. This works great to keep staff up to date and is especially helpful for staff who are not here every day. We require all Ticket Office staff to read the document each day at login.
Anna,
We use a Sharepoint intranet for our staff and also use the sign-in notifications for more urgent notices to users.

If you are on v12.5, you can set up log-in notifications that will be displayed when users first log in to the application:

I cannot recall who it was at the moment to give them credit, but I remember hearing of one organization using the Web Browser Widget in Tessitura Dashboards to display certain google docs or intranet pages in widgets. Then they created a dashboard and shared it with all the user groups in the department (I think it was the Box Office). They also set Dashboards as the default module for everyone in the relevant user groups. That way, everyone in the applicable user groups saw this dashboard as soon as they logged in and it contained things like daily announcements and such. You might try something like that.
TLCC2013 in the Box Office training lunch discussion. Here's the note from the archives. Joseph Yoga – New 42nd Street / New Victory Theater: Dashboards for employee info!!! Daily notes, schedule, info on the shows, promo info.
Joe also presented on this in the Dashboard Use Cases for Ticketing session at TLCC2013. Here's a link to the powerpoint from that session: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/tlcc/2013/Presentations/13-A_Dashboards_for_TKT.pptx
