Perf.Long Title-1

Does anyone know what Perf.Long Title-1 is or where it comes from when pulling for a ticket design?  A large number of our programs have titles that are too long for the perf description and ticket text without splitting it up and using multiple elements so we are looking for alternatives.

Thanks!

  • Sadly, that I don't know, Brandi. It appears T_INVENTORY may only be accessible in SQL. I looked in Security and it is not an assignable system table...as far as I can tell. I know that it's not ideal, but because of the limitations of ticket design, I will also often just create a specific ticket design for long title shows and type the name of the show on the ticket. That way I can ensure the title appears correctly and the placement on the ticket is where I want it. I know that creates more ticket designs than anyone wants, but it's the easiest way to ensure the title fits correctly.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. Hopefully more people will chime in with thoughts.

  • I took a quick look at T_INVENTORY in SQL Server. It's not easy to discern from which column this data element is pulling. I did, however, create a test ticket in our test environement. I placed both perf long title 1 and 2 on the ticket design and sold a ticket. It appears that that data element is pulling from the description column in the T_INVENTORY table. It appears that that is filled from the actual "description" title of the show on the performances tab of Production Elements in Ticketing Setup.

I'm not certain of all this but from a quick look, that's how it all works I'm guessing. I hope that helps a little. :)

  • Thanks again!  I was afraid that it was pulling from description.  It seems strange though that there are three elements that pull the same thing?
