We currently offer free tickets to people under the age of 18. We want to allow this on TNEW as well without actually validating people's age online.
Our idea was to just put some specific text on the ticket to make it obvious to our associates if someone is handing them a youth ticket.
If you offer free tickets online, what do you do to prevent people from using them when they aren't supposed to?
Hi -We don’t do them for free, but we do require student ID for our $25 student tickets. To accomplish this, we use a promo code which flips the MOS online to one that ONLY allows pick up at the box office as a delivery method – no mail or emailing tickets.
Something like that, plus your special ticket header should work to verify. You are smart to think of this, as we DEFINITELY have folks who take advantage of this, thinking we won’t actually check ID.
