We are venturing into our first season using the new v12 pricing model with events to increase prices as the season goes along.
We're a little stuck trying to figure out how to report on this. We've looked at the canned report from Tessitura, but it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to us. We've followed the T-Stats recipe found in the Tessitura documentation about Dynamic Pricing, but again, it doesn't make sense either.
What we need is something by price type with the amount of money we've made from price events. Does such a thing exist?
Yes, the Base column compares actual sales to the price type marked as Base on a performance.
To recap:
Every price type has its own Home Price, which is the price before any price events were added to the price type.
Every performance has a single Base Price, which is the price type marked as Base for that performance. (this is the same as it was prior to v12). For base price comparisons, all price types are compared to the same price type and price.
On the Performance Revenue Gain/Loss report:
· Column 1 (Sales) lists the actual sales figures (counts and amounts).
· Column 2 (Home Price) lists the home price for each price type, the potential revenue if the number of tickets sold at that price type had been sold at that home price, and the different between that home price potential revenue and the actual sales revenue.
· Column 3 (Base Price) lists the base price for the performance (which is going to be the same for every single price type), the potential revenue if the number of tickets sold at that price type had been sold at the base price, and the difference between the base price potential revenue and the actual sales revenue. One extra nuance on the base price comparisons is that it uses the home price of the base price. For example, if you Base price type is Standard with an initial (Home) price of $80, and you later add a price event to Standard to raise the price to $90, all Base Price comparison calculations are made using the original $80 base price (i.e. how much money you would have made if you didn’t offer any discounts and didn’t do any dynamic pricing)
Does that help clarify what the report is showing you? I can see that the documentation could use some of that additional clarification, so I’ll update it for v14.

We are having a challenge with this report as it seems to report on too much information. Marketing wants to know how much revenue they have gained on the Dynamic Price changes and only that information. The report is too large and does not satisfy that portion of the business.
We have been attempting to create a report similar to one we had in v11 that ONLY looks at performances. sections and revenue gained and the total revenue gained. If anyone has created something, would you mind sharing? We would be happy to share once we have created something as well.
Thanks
Susan
