Dynamic Pricing Reports

We are venturing into our first season using the new v12 pricing model with events to increase prices as the season goes along.

We're a little stuck trying to figure out how to report on this. We've looked at the canned report from Tessitura, but it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to us. We've followed the T-Stats recipe found in the Tessitura documentation about Dynamic Pricing, but again, it doesn't make sense either.

What we need is something by price type with the amount of money we've made from price events. Does such a thing exist?

  • Thanks Brandi – we have RMA as well and were leaning towards using this for reporting. Any particular report that you like?

We've purchased and actively use the Revenue Management Application from JCA.  It has some fantastic reporting that can not only determine individual performances that prime candidates for price changing, but also what zones, price types, etc. are as well.

They offer specific reporting on your dynamic pricing impact so that you can see specifically what your net gain is for each price increase (or decrease).

  • I just realized I never replied!  in RMA, we use the Dynamic Pricing Impact to show gaines specifically related to our pricing changes.

We use the Configurable Monitoring Dashbord to determine shows that are candidates for pricing changes.  It's extremely configurable and you are able to sort by different variables for review.  We use %Capacity Sold/RSVPed and Days Since Price Changes as our main criteria, but then also set up Custom Zone alerts for shows that we want to monitor more closely.
