The Director Marketing and Communications is responsible for the development and implementation of the orchestra’s strategic marketing and external communication plans to grow the TSO’s audience and enhance its profile for maximum exposure.
Job tasks and responsibilities
As a member of the Senior Management Team, this position will actively participate in the strategic development of the organisation, demonstrating strategic thinking skills and significant achievements in a similar role in a comparative environment.
You will be responsible for TSO’s external communications plan, meeting goals as outlined in the TSO strategic plan, public relations and marketing plans and ensure their implementation in a timely fashion and within budget.
A cross organisational focus to deliver strategic results and drive innovation through a collaborative approach is a key attribute to being successful in this role.
Skills and experience
Previous budget development, implementation and reporting at a senior level are critical elements of this role.
Proven executive experience together with appropriate qualifications within a marketing and sales environment is essential as is the ability to effectively manage TSO’s box office and associated promotional activities.
You must have a genuine affinity towards TSO and an understanding of the Arts environment is a must.
