Hi there
Our CRM/Tessi team have built script that converts gift cards sold as a performance on our website into a payment method that then has Tessitura spit out an email to the purchaser much like an order confirmation email.
When testing the deleverability of this email - many users in Outlook are having the email go straight to their junk inbox. This is less than desirable especially if Tessitura is sending them an email with a code to their $500 gift card to redeem online!
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced order confirmation / Tessitura emails going staright to junk in Outlook? Our IT Manager has said its not to do with any filters we may have set up inetrnally on our Outlook acccounts.
Our staff that are testing are using Microsoft Office 365 Outlook version 1610.
Best, Maeve
Sounds like you need to adjust your spam filter on your exchange server for domain where the email is being sent from. I had to white list the domain for our org. But, in terms of patrons you would have no control over what there email service considers junk/spam. Just have to have the box office have a working knowledge of all the possible email clients and the location of the junk/spams folders to assist when a patron calls stating they have not received it.
Hi Travis
Fantastic idea on providing documentation to the Customer Services Team - I'm going to get on to that!
We decided to push the Gift Card LIVE 56% of our email subscribers are on Apple mail anyway (which doesn't 'spam' the automated Tessi email) and we're going to monitor how many complaints come through of not being able to find the gift card email .
Many thanks for the insight and suggestions,
