We are having an outside show that has a VIP section that includes a meet and greet. They want the patron to have 1 ticket for the show and another ticket for the Meet and Greet event. The VIP seats are built into the zone map. In the past we have built many VIP events separately and this allows for a second ticket - but that won't work for this situation. Does anyone know if there is a way to have basically have 2 tickets for 1 seat or another way to build this so that it is easy to the customer when trying to purchase online? Any ideas?
Thanks!
Not sure how many tickets you are expecting to be handling and if you will be scanning the tickets, but I am wondering if you can somehow work with the donate for resale option. However, this may open way too many other issues (reporting, seat ticket vs. VIP ticket, ticket delivery method, etc.). Just a thought to have the customer buy a ticket then print the ticket, donate it and then repurchase the ticket with a comp payment option of sorts and print. OR maybe somehow play with creating a header that has some VIP language that be be printed multiple times within the order depending on many tickets are dealing with. I'm curious to hear others thoughts.
Do you use N-Scan? This is an ideal situation for a Special Access Area, which essentially allows you to build admission to an associated event into a ticket without having to issue a second, separate ticket for it.
If the meet-and-greet is based on a specific section/price zone, the easiest thing to do is to have a price type that is enabled in that zone only and which reflects the meet-and-greet/VIP price. That price type can then be the basis for the admission criteria for the access area. Full details of what Special Access Areas are, and how to use them with N-Scan, are here: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v125/Content/N-Scan_Application_Guide/Special%20Access%20Areas.htm
