T_Payment and T_Transaction mismatch

I have encountered the error message T P_PAY_TRANS_MISMATCH FAILED several times in our test system while attempting to recreate and then resolve different problematic transactions other staff members encountered in live.

The error message continues "Amount mismatch in T_Payment ($162) and T_Transaction ($32)". The amount given after T_Transaction varies based on the order I'm simulating, but always (correctly) aligns with the amount due for that order. The amount given after T_Payment varies, seemingly of its own accord.

This morning, I received the error message when attempting to do a general public box office sale with cash, and yes, I did check to make sure I had entered $32 in cash as the payment. I reattempted the whole order, and got the same error message, but with a different amount given as the mismatch in T_Payment, though both times I had entered the correct amount due ($32).

Any clues as to what's going on?

Thanks so much!

  • The only time I saw a similar error was when I had somehow managed to have a Price Type assigned twice to the same Package.  Once I deleted and readded all the Price Types things worked fine.

I'm thinking your best bet would be to enter a support ticket on this one since it seems to be so random.  Good luck!
