Another pricing rules newbie here. We want to sell a 4-play flex package and comp the 4th play by change the price to $0 (we don’t want to use a different price type). I’ve set up the rule as follows:
BOGO
Price Change, with discount amount = 100%
Criteria
For each of these: all performances available in the package For every: 4 seats At the price types: standard package price type
Apply the rule to: 1 of these seats
I’ve double checked the pricing rule set/MOS, which appears to be set correctly.
And it’s not working. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Hi Judy,
It is not possible to apply a pricing rule based on the component performances of a package at this time.
However, you could create a Product Only rule for 4 Play packages that spreads the cost of the 1 comped ticket across all 4 plays. So if a ticket to one play in the package costs $50, you could apply a $50 Price edit to the package seat, which would then be spread across all 4 plays as a $12.50 discount. If the plays in the package a fixed and the customers are just choosing which performances of each play they want to attend, then you could force the entire discount to be applied to a single performance (i.e. effectively comping the ticket in one of the plays), by setting the Price Change to 100%, setting the rule to respect the minimum price, and then setting the minimum to the default price for 3 of the plays and then to 0 for the 4th play.
