Prevent Returns

Is there a way to prevent returns to performances that have past? Someway to "Lock" or "Book" a performance?

Thanks,

  • Depends on who has what access but you could just have the MOS unavailable after a specific date. We only allow returns or amendments to past concerts here under MOS "manager" it is very rare we need to amend past events but if we do make any changes then we need to run a series of reports to "finalise" the event again and pass on reports to the Finance Department.

You can uncheck the "On Sale" checkbox for the performance in Ticketing Setup>Production Elements>Performances to lock the performance from sales and returns.

Using the On Sale checkbox seems to be the only reliable way to prevent returns.  If a show is still checked On Sale, someone could go into a past-date order and transact on that performance.
Past-date orders act as time machines so watch out!
