Another dynamic pricing question

Hi all,

When changing prices, I create new pricemaps, attach them to the appropriate pricetypes and then change the start and end dates/times so the new ones and old ones don't overlap.

My question is - what do you do with the base price checkbox?  Leave it on the expired pricemap, or attach it to the new one, even though the new one might not be available yet due to a later start time?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  • We made the choice to leave the base price indicator checked on the original price so that the GP calculations remain on the original price, which is how it was budgeted.

Doing it this way does cause the Availability panel in the perf info screen to go blank once the original price expires, but that was easier to deal with than explaining the change in reporting numbers.

  • Thanks Kay.

You didn't run into any website issues by not having an active base pricemap, did you?
