PRICE RULES MASH UP!

More like mess up...

Please can anyone help?

7 shows on sale and offering 25% discount if all 7 are purchased in one order. I have used Product Volume Rule for this one. Purchase products 7 to 7 products. Discount amount 25% off a standard default price type. And then set the rule

Meanwhile of those 7 applicable products 2 of the 7 are also entitle to a 10% discount (separate to the 25% one). So I've used an Add on rule for this one. Buy one off 77 applicable performances from one production and then receive 10% off the apply rule to any of the second applicable performance of the second production. Purchase minimum 1 - 9 seats.

Both rules have the respect minimum price box unchecked.

However the 10% add on rule always pips overrides and applies over the 25% rule. So if I have picked up 2 of the applicable products for the 10% rule this rule applies. However, if I then add a further 5 different applicable Productions the 25% rule does not come in to play. Why??

Grateful for someone to help and advise on this one. No one seems to know and there is nothing in the literature about being able to rank rules.

Thanks in advance.

That is exactly what I would do and then I would test it just to make sure it worked as intended. Let us know if this fixes your issue.

Thanks so much Nicola Keating for the swift reply!

So in the example I gave it is just a matter of re ranking the associated pricing rules in the far right column using the Up and Down buttons?

In the example I gave would be a matter of making sure the 25% rule is rank number 1 with the 10% ranked second so that the 7 shows rule will override the 10% rule? But the 10% rule will still work if the 2 applicable performances were added to the basket?

Rule Ranking is listed under “Pricing Rule Sets”.
