How do you track Renewal VS Acquisition for season ticket renewals? In our previous system, we had separate price types for them (RENA = Renewal Adult and SUBA = New Subscriber) but that, of course, doubled the amount of sub price types in every performance and the human error was high.
Do you track new-to-file/acquisition single ticket buyers as well?

I don't think there is a good canned report for renewing vs new because different organizations might have different definitions of a renewed subscriber. For example, some count renewing as those returning from the most recent season only and some count any subscriber recent or years lapsed as renewing. We count those coming from the most recent season and have a custom built report to calculate renew vs new for all subscribers, both fixed subscriptions and flex/cyo.
If you don't have resources to build a custom report you can also do this easily in List Manager. First create two lists for renewals and new which will give your total constituent counts then set them as dynamic and use them in the T-Stats List Based filter to get the # tickets and revenue.
