Presale for subscribers

I'm a straight up newbie when it comes to Tessitura.  As an organization we've been on it for about 3 months and are about to be on sale for our new season.  But first we want to do a presale for our subscribers.  How do I go about creating this presale?  Here's a breakdown.

1. Presale starting August 8 thru August 19

2. Limited to Subscribers (via a constituency code)

3. Also receive a subscriber discount (15%)

I appreciate any help I can get.

  • Here's one way to do it on the web:

    • Create a mode of sale for your presale events that starts earlier than the general public mode of sales.
    • Create a price type for your subscriber discount and apply it to those events (enable this price type for the presale MOS).
    • Use a ranking-based mode-of-sale shift to send the customers online into that mode of sale after they log in to your website. If you are on TNEW, there's documentation for how to do this. Alternatively, you could use a promo code MOS shift.

    For box office sales, you don't really have to do any of this except for the price type, and training your staff to check the constituency codes for the customer before they use the subscriber price type.

  • Daniel, here is how the DSO handles pre-sales. 

     

    Create source code through campaigns --> appeals for this discount and on sale and only promote it to accounts with the subscriber constituency. You can create a list of these patrons first for this purpose


    Then you could create a 15% off price type, apply it to all of the shows and then tie this promo/source code to it. This way only the subscribers with this promo code 

    Set the dates for the promo code to your date range. This means that the pricing via the promo won't be available outside of that window.
