We're attempting to use the Product Volume rule via TNEW to achieve a Choose Your Own "subscription" scenario.
We've successfully set up the rule to change to a subscription price type when four or more shows are added to the cart and messages are firing as expected.
Is it possible to limit the Product Volume criteria in such a way that the rule will not apply to multiple performances of the same production? We don't want to apply the discount of you buy four different performances of the same Production Season. We only want the rule to fire if four different Production Seasons are selected.
We know a Flex Package can enforce that type of limit, but we're really hoping to offer customers the chance to select seating.
All Best,
Jim Seggelink
I've been having similar issues trying to make a BOGO offer work when we have two performances in a production season. Keen to see if someone has an easy fix for it.
Hi Jim,
It is not possible at this time to limit Product Volume rules to performances from different production seasons. It’s certainly something worth submitting as an enhancement request for the future.
Practically speaking, do you think it’s likely your customers would attempt to purchase multiple performances from the same production season? If not, then I’d suggest going forward and using the Product Volume rule anyway. You can use the rule messaging to help clarify what your customers should be purchasing together.

That’s what we thought. As you suggested, we’ll likely go ahead as is and adjust course if we discover too many orders slipping through the ‘loophole’.
Thanks for the feedback Kevin.
