Changing Facilities After Seat Reservations

Hello Everyone,

Our organization has changed some logistical details regarding an upcoming performance as far as how tickets are handled/seat capacity.  This has required us to change the Facility on the performance to that of a venue with a smaller capacity, however, a few constituents (9) have already purchased tickets for said event, so we are unable to change the Facility on the performance maintenance panel.

Is there a workaround for this issue?  Or are we going to need to logistically find a solution outside of Tessitura for the nine people who have purchased tickets and simply create a new performance?

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Cody,

At my venue, the Park Avenue Armory, we end up switching facilities often. Once you have created the new performance with the new facility, you reseat the orders in the old performance in the order that they were received. For Hold at Box Office orders you can return the tickets and add the new performance in the same order. For e-tickets, you will need to return the funds on account and create a new order with the new performance so that they receive new e-tix. We also send out an email alerting the patron that new tickets are on the way, and to use the most recent email (because the old bar code will not work anymore). Once all the orders are moved, we take the old performance off sale. Unfortunately we haven’t found a faster/easer way to do this!

    Best,

    Jennie
