Hi All,
Just wondering, does anybody use 'One Time Only' booking links - to send offers out to staff/patrons. We are interested in starting to use them for things like our staff tickets but want to stop them from being forwarded to other people?
Any thoughts?
Ryan :)
Hi Ryan -
If you are on 12.5 with Pricing Rules you could do something along the lines of setting up pricing rules against a list of current staff members. That way the prices are automatically linked to the staff member and you have a reason for everyone having a web login on your staff! At my previous org we did do some very specific 'one time only' links per person and found it pretty time consuming. We ended up doing some customisations which look fairly close to today's pricing rules in order to make it worth our time and effort.
HTH,

Hi Heather,
Thanks for getting back to me. We've only recently moved onto 12.5 and just about to start using pricing rules so defiantly will give it a go! What did you use to identify your staff members in Tess, as a constituency or membership?
Did you find that it was abused at all?
Thanks,
Rx
That’s a really smart suggestion, Heather – and it solves part of a similar problem we face here at Grange Park Opera. The other issue we have is people with a valid constituency making more than one booking, though. That’s still an issue with the fix you’ve outlined here. Still; it’s something I’m going to start implementing right now! C.// Xxx.
We tracked our staff members as an employee affiliation to a Corporate account for our org - with the proper start dates. If a staff member was a seasonal employee or left the org, we'd put an end date and inactivate the affiliation. Then we'd schedule the Manage Constituency to keep the constituencies up to date and clean.
It was a little more overhead to keep those records clean, but the box office managed it as they needed to know when someone could have a discount anyways, so it was in their best interests. (I was working on trying to get HR into Tessitura when I left my org, but with little traction).
We didn't have a lot of trouble with abuse and it made our lives a lot easier!
