Ticklers do not show at login

A colleague of mine set his preference to "show ticklers at login", but they do not turn up.  He is set up properly in security.  What could be preventing this window from turning up?

    Does the View Ticklers window not open at login or does it open but no ticklers are displayed?  If it opens and no ticklers are displayed it probably means there are either no ticklers assigned to him or no ticklers currently within the warn days period.  For example, if the due date on a tickler is 12/15 and the Warn Days for the tickler is set to 7, that tickler would not be displayed when the View Ticklers window is opened today, 11/24 which is more than 5 days prior to the complete date.  You could change the Show As of date at the top of the View Ticklers window though to 12/8 or later and the tickler would be displayed.  The Show As of date always defaults to the current date when the View Ticklers screen opens.  One way to make ticklers always show up is to set the Warn Days to something like 365; if you are creating ticklers with a due date more than a year in the future you would have to further increase the warn days.

     

    If the View Ticklers window is not opening at all upon login, and the checkbox is definitely checked on his preferences, you should open a help ticket.

  • Another thing that prevents ticklers from showing in the assignee's tickler screen is if there is no complete by date. Our business policy dictates complete by dates, but errors occur and ticklers drop through the cracks.  Besides lists (which I have built)  or an audit report, has anyone else found this to be a problem, and if so, how did you deal with it?
