A colleague of mine set his preference to "show ticklers at login", but they do not turn up. He is set up properly in security. What could be preventing this window from turning up?

This is reaching a bit, but does he have multiple User Groups? Preferences are managed separately for each Group so perhaps he checked the box when logged in under one Group, but not another.
