Hi there,
I'm looking for feedback regarding ticket kiosks. I have been tasked with looking into kiosk ticketing to expand our market. If you are using kiosks, are you using them successfully? What are you utilizing kiosks for? Are kiosks still valuable in today's market or are they slowly dying a clunky death?
Thanks for any and all feedback!
Will the kiosks be used in your venue or campus or will they be placed in other locales, such as malls and supermarkets? I used kiosks with a previous employer that were placed in other locales. I don’t think we sold any tickets. Theater/music/dance etc. tickets aren’t a spur-of-the moment purchase, so the kiosks were basically advertising. I think they’re in their death knell since just about anything can be ordered over a cell phone.

The idea is for kiosks at a shopping mall. Like, you, we believe that so many things can easily be order via cell phone. It might be a better idea to allocate the funding to mobile app development over investing in kiosks.
