If we put the field Recipient Display Name on a ticket design and there is no recipient specified on the sub line item, will this field default to showing the name of the account to which the order is associated?

Nope -- recipient is treated as a separate data value and doesn't have a fallback. If you wanted this, I think it would be pretty easy to define as a UDE.
Thanks Nick... That's disappointing it doesn't fall back. We're using all six of the custom fields already.
Does anyone know if this is still the case?
