While building shows, why does the production image often disappear from the contents tab after you save all the contents that you have added in?
Is this just a technical error with the system or am I doing something wrong?

This sounds like the zero inventory bug. On versions 12.1 (and possibly also 12.0.x) if you alter prod season content and then save by switching tabs, you will all of a sudden be looking at the "Zero inventory" item, and switching back to the content tab will show you any content stored on THAT (hopefully nothing). If you escape and reload the prod season details you should see the content you saved.
