Exchanging Partially Used Packages

We have a subscriber who wants to change from a Wednesday night package to a Thursday night package.  We want to exchange all her base seats so that she will roll over into Thursday for next season.  However, she has already attend the first show in the Wednesday package, so we didn't want to eliminate this ticket history by returning this ticket... and we can't return the base seats without returning all the individual performances.... Anyone else run into this problem?  How do you deal with it?

    In the past, I have created a mini-subscription package where the 1st show is not included then I would exchange the 1st show into the same Price Type and the rest into a mini-subscription.  It messes a little with the ticket history, but it has worked for us.  You could also just remove all of the future shows and seat them into the mini-sub leaving the original show and base map in tact.  Then she would receive invoices for both Wednesday and Thursday next season.

  • And to add to that suggestion, we've made an attribute called 'Sub Renewal Adjustment' where we have several options and we use this to flag people we need to hand tweak before sending invoices out. 

    This makes it easy to track renewals through lists that we've promised to fix for next year or move with priority, etc. We also use it for people who subscribe late in the season and indicate that would prefer a full season sub for next year, but can only buy a smaller package due to our first show being past.

  • You could exchange the entire package, including the show she's already attended, then, once she's got the new package in her order, exchange the past show into the tickets she actually used.
