Screen pops

We are considering changing our telephone system to VoIP, and potentially incorporating Tessitura so that when a constituent calls and the box office agents picks up the phone, Tessitura will automatically display the constituent record. In theory this should save the box office agent time in accessing the record. While this feature is available in Tessitura we are wondering just how effective or useful this is in practice. I'd like to hear success stories from folks who have screen pop enabled and use it successfully, and "didn't work for us" stories from those who had it activated and later disconnected it. I'm posting this question in both TICKETING and IT in hopes of getting a good amount of replies. Thank you in advance! Randy
