In honor of Cyber Monday, we are doing an offer of no handling fees today for any remaining show of our holiday production. We came across an oddity and wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this. Our group sales department added a seat to an existent order. We realized that when the seller did this, it removed ALL the handling fees (the ones that had already been paid). After further testing, I was able to also see that once you reactivate the fee and add a seat to the existent order, all the handling fees that were removed came back. I was wondering if any of you have noticed this behavior. If you have, what did you do to overcome this issue.
I ask any Tessitura staff to take a look at this as well. I see that there is a section on fee set-up that says "system never deletes" and that I am supposed to be able to mark that box for "rule-based" fees. However, no matter how I try, this selection box stays inactive (on existing and new rule-based fees). Am I missing a step? Concurrently, it seems counter-intuitive and counter-productive to have fees that have already been paid on an order disappear if you remove that fee for a "no fee day" and add a seat on that order (and then have those fees all come back if you should add another seat after the "no fee day"). If a Network staff member could add something to Tessitura Help regarding this issue with fees, that would be awesome. I wasn't able to find anything that referenced this behavior.
In any respect, I just wanted to make sure I'm not going crazy and thought I'd ask the hive mind to see if this has happened anywhere else.
