Hello everyone. I have a slightly strange dilemma. We often get requests from schools for fundraising events and what we currently do is donate an "open season voucher", vouchers with pre-determined reserve value (eg: 2 x A Reserve tickets) - which helps as we cannot do comp gift vouchers. But of course when the prize winner rings up to redeem the vouchers, it's not a straight redemption. Is there a way to transfer on-account credit between two different parties, or is there a way to do comp gift vouchers to a certain value which can then be used by someone other than the buyer?
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
Hi Michelle,
I can suggest 2 different ways.
1 - take the On Account monies and apply them to an "On Hold" suspense payment method. Then draw down the monies using the same payment method towards the new order.
or
2 - Set up a Comp Gift certificate. Then sell a gift certificate to a chosen organization record created specifically for this purpose. the payment methods should be Gift certificate and Comp gift certificate. The Recipient line could remain blank to be filled in by the recipient.
#1 is the easier way to go.
Hope this helps,
Tatiana

Hi Christopher and Tatiana. Thank you for replying. My problem seems more that I need to set up a dummy payment method with finance approval than anything else, so have posted something in finance. Thank you for your input!
