pre-purchse subscriptions

Hello everyone!

We are looking into allowing our patrons to pre-purchase their 2017-2018 subscription when they renew their upcoming 2016-2017 subscription. Is anyone out there doing something similar? I'd love to know how you've set it up. Thanks!

  • Hi David,

We don’t do *exactly* what you’re thinking of, but all of our subscribers renew before they know what the shows are or what their dates are (customers just know the day of the week, and their seats, if they’re not making changes).  There are lots of different ways a pre-purchase could be handled, all dependent on how you want to set shows up.  One option would be to have a dummy performance for the 17-18 season, and you could then pop everyone into the real season once it’s built.  Or, like me, you could build the entire 17-18 season using “show 1”, “show 2” etc, and best guess dates.  Once your calendar is set, you could edit dates and names as appropriate.

Feel free to contact me offline if you need to bounce ideas around in more depth!

    Cheers,

    Kathleen
